Technology is an exciting, fast moving and dynamic sector. It is one of the few
industries that know no boundaries in terms of ideas, scope or gender. It is a
sector that year-after-year pushes further what can be achieved - and then from
nowhere a paradigm shift takes place - and suddenly we have a new normal in
the way we learn, communicate and connect with each other.

And this is why we established the BlackBerry® Women and Technology Awards.
In the third year, the core philosophy behind the awards remains unchanged. We
continue to celebrate the achievements of women using technology, both within
and beyond the IT sector, to bring their outstanding contributions to business via
the use of technology into the public eye.

We want others to be as passionate about technology as we are. We want to
profile and celebrate incredible women who are playing a central part so that they
can be an inspiration to many more women. The Awards look to honour the
individual (or company) that has achieved success and competitive advantage
through innovation, management and return on investment via technology.
